Bathroom Renovation Project

Designer Credits: Monika Dixit

Project Overview:

The Bathroom had a tub which was too small, so the client wanted to replace the existing tub with a wheelchair accessible shower and select new finishes for the walls. We updated the bathroom to meet wheelchair accessibility standards, changed the flooring, removed wallpaper and painted the bathroom with a new color. All hardware is brushed nickel.

“We wanted the kitchen cabinets and flooring replaced. We also wanted a walk-in shower installed in a bathroom. We aren’t folks who spend much time thinking about decorating, renovating, or what is desirable in today’s real estate market. We started by reaching out to
contractors. They did not help us define what we needed. We were floundering, we needed help. We listed our project on a website that connects you to talent. We asked for a designer who would take charge of the project. Monika Dixit, Pinakin Design, responded. She walked us through the selection of cabinets, flooring, plumbing, appliances, etc. She was responsive and patient. Monika stayed involved in the supervision of the contractors implementing the renovation. We are thankful we had a designer, Monika Dixit, involved in our project. ”
